Have you ever wondered how animals help humans on their healing journey? In Kelley Burry’s experiences facilitating BodyTalk sessions at Namaste Esperanza, the wisdom and intuition of the horses and dogs on the property never cease to amaze.
During a recent BodyTalk class Kelley was teaching at Namaste Esperanza, one of the dogs (Alice) knew what needed to be healed before any of the humans in the room. As the client hopped up on one of the massage tables to participate in a demo session, Alice jumped up on another massage table and laid flat. A few seconds later, she got down and popped up on to the client’s table where she proceeded to put one paw on the client’s heart and another on the side of her throat. Then all of a sudden, a beautiful American gold finch flew into the room (a huge teaching space in the barn) and Alice immediately began to “sing.” One of the participants Googled “American Finch” and everyone learned this bird is all about a “heart-felt voice.” Everyone was thinking, “How did we miss that?” The whole session then revolved around truth that comes from the heart. This important wisdom might have been missed if it weren’t for the animals.
But why are animals such an important part of the healing work at Namaste Esperanza? According to Kelley, animals participate so willingly and they will do whatever it takes to help you find yourself. This gift is offered freely, daily, every minute of every day. It’s such an amazing gift if you recognize it for what it is. Further, animals do not have an ego or attachment to a certain outcome. They are a powerful mirror. For example, if you are interacting with a horse and you are smiling on the outside but sad on the inside, the horse will mirror your sadness. They feel your energy, not the mask you are wearing. Working with the animals on this property is therefore an amazing opportunity to get in touch with yourself in a way you might have never done before.
If you are interested in beginning or continuing a deep journey of inner transformation and healing, please contact us at office@namastenova.ca to find out more about upcoming BodyTalk training sessions:
*BodyTalk Access (Monday, February 15 and Saturday, March 5)
This is a great one-day class if you are new to BodyTalk. You will learn 5 simple energy-based techniques that will help increase left/brain balance and concentration, improve coordination and flexibility, develop resiliency to stress, and improve your overall health and well-being.
*BodyTalk Fundamentals (March 11-15)
If you would like to learn more about the Science behind BodyTalk, practical applications, how to conduct sessions, and maybe take the first step in becoming a BodyTalk practitioner, then this in-depth course is for you.
Last but not least, if BodyTalk sounds interesting, but you’re just not sure about taking that first step in your own healing journey, then think about this. Kelley spoke to a young lady suffering from addiction who said, “You were willing to do anything to feed your habit...would you be willing to do anything to change that?” For you, it might not be an addiction. It might be anger, depression, hopelessness, confusion, or a physical ailment. The question is the same: What are you willing to do to change your beliefs, and ultimately your life?

Check out the whole interview below to hear more about Kelley's BodyTalk journey, as well as a great story about Leo, her beautiful (high spirited) horse.
